Ted pauses in cutting a piece of cake for himself, even he subconsciously holding his breath as Kate focuses. Even such a small thing as this is a joy to watch, just seeing how zoned in she gets. As the coin knocks the little army man off his shelf, Ted joins in the applause.

He has the thought to invite Henry along to see Kate shoot properly, if not where she trains with Beard, than at least her targets at her apartment. Maybe let him try it too. But he's not going to spring that right now, in front of Henry, without a chance for Michelle to have a say. (Henry's pretty darn good at playing his parents against each other when it comes to toys and gifts.)
